Smithfield Properties is a Chicago-based real estate development company owned and operated by W. Harris (Bill) Smith. The company designs and develops residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use real estate properties. Smithfield is known for its modern architectural design aesthetic. The developer’s real estate experience includes award winning residential high-rise condominiums, retail shopping centers, townhouses, industrial projects, student housing and high rise mixed use projects. Notable projects include Chicago’s 30 West Oak, SoNo, Erie on the Park, and 805 North LaSalle, a 300 unit rental tower. Grady Campbell developed Smithfield’s identity and marketing campaigns for the company and its properties.
